My work focuses on the captivating and unpredictable world of crystalline glazes. Each piece is a collaboration between chemistry, timing, and controlled temperature cycles, resulting in crystal formations that grow on the surface of the glaze during firing. I am drawn to this process because it combines precision with surprise—every firing reveals patterns and structures that cannot be fully predicted or repeated. Through form, glaze composition, and carefully guided kiln schedules, I aim to create pieces that highlight the organic beauty of crystal growth and the delicacy of their reflective surfaces. These works are an exploration of movement, depth, and the quiet complexity that emerges when materials are given space to transform.
